Kamala Harris VS. George e Taylor

In 1904, George Edwin Taylor became the first African-American to run for President of the United States. In 2020 we have the first African-American woman to run for Vice-President. George E Taylor and Kamala Harris were both African Americans running for president in the united states, The only difference is gender.I feel like both George Taylor and Kamala Harris have some things in common, one thing is being judged by others because of their race and being put down because they are different.Back when George Edwin was running for president he was only mentioned occasionally,he was an unknown running for president in 1904. Kamala Harris on the other hand is well known, she is currently senator and now she is running for vice president . she is well known by others in the united states and there are many articles about her.I do feel like Kamala has a much easier time running for vice president because even though racism  is still around it is not as bad as it was in the 1900's. Something that is different about the two is Kamala is a mixed race woman unlike George E , he was not mixed and both his parents were African american. This is something that can make kamala's time running for vice president a little easier .In conclusion i do still feel like both George E Taylor and Kamala Harris both have faced similar challenges and are very similar in many ways. For Labor, Race, and Liberty: George Edwin Taylor, His Historic Run for the White House, and the Making of Independent Black Politics: Mouser, Bruce L.: 8580000950915: Amazon.com: BooksTrump campaign tries to paint Kamala Harris as soft on crime | The Sacramento Bee
